Agency mounts media programme on Lassa fever

The Chairman of the agency, Mr Adamu Gamawa, disclosed this in an interview with the News agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Bauchi on Tuesday.
Gamawa said the action was to ensure that through the Mass media both urban and rural dwellers would be reached.
“We have since started airing sensitisation jingles and education messages on the various media organisations to reach both the people in the urban and the rural areas.
“The period for the disease has set in and farm inputs are being brought home as well, this rats could follow the farm inputs home and become nuisance in the society.
“As such people should be caution and vigilant on how they keep their food items a so that it will not be contaminated by the rodents feces and urine,’’ he said.
The chairman urged members of the public to maintain personnel and environment hygiene in other to improve public health.
